The people over at Clay Imports have been absolutely amazing to work with, and we could not be happier with how this project turned out. Sneak peek of the kitchen backsplash here for you: We actually used the same tile as the kitchen backsplash because I loved it so much! I linked their thin brick glazed Saltillo tiles HERE. Because the tiles are handmade, every single one is different. A colored glaze is fired onto the tile, making it waterproof and absolutely stunning! I chose the thin brick pattern to have a modern feel but way more character than your traditional subway tile. When I came across their handcrafted, glazed Saltillo tiles I fell in love! Clay Imports was the first to develop Glazed Saltillo. ![]() ![]() They can even customize the tile for you! I am obsessed with the pattern we selected and how it brings unique character to the room without overwhelming the small space.įor the shower I knew I wanted something white because it is not a huge shower and I wanted it to feel light and bright (like it never has in the past). ![]() ![]() All of their cement tiles are responsibly sourced from Turkey, Mexico, and Morocco. For the bathroom floor I selected a cement tile called Catalonia Gray (linked HERE for you). not in Austin? No worries, they ship nationwide! After stalking their website I knew that they would be the perfect choice for the tile in the Lake house project.Ĭlay Imports carries an assortment of handcrafted clay, cement, and authentic Saltillo tiles. I was so excited when I realized they were based here in Austin and had such an AMAZING selection of tiles to choose from! P.S. I first stumbled upon Clay Imports when I was scrolling my Instagram feed and a show-stopping image of some tiled stairs caught my eye. We are THRILLED to have the whole place feeling so fresh, bright, and clean now and this floor and shower tile from Clay Imports in the bathroom definitely stole the show! Dark, dirty, and old…and the shower…it was a place for spiders to hang out, so you can imagine how much time I spent in there (none). I am so excited to share some super fun before and after photos with you of our bathroom reno project at the Lake house! The before pictures show it all…this bathroom was basically what nightmares are made of. ![]()
